2020 Spring Horsemanship

2020 Horsemanship Classes

As a training facility, we feel that a holistic approach to our program creates a more confident and stronger rider. Previously referred to as "clinics" our new Horsemanship Classes incorporate more elements of horse training and care that just the traditional lessons. You will learn how to work with horses on the ground as well as in the saddle. If you are looking for the whole package experience, this is the program for you. Our Classes are split into 3 different categories: Adult, Youth and Young Riders. Our Adult & Youth Classes are 1.5 hours in length and our Young Riders is 1 hour in time. We assign up to 4 instructors for the Adult & Youth classes and 1 instructor to each student for our Young Riders.  These classes provide a safe environment to learn (or re-learn) how to groom, tack, and ride in a relaxed setting. The multiple instructors enable us to work with different skill levels at the same time.

1. Students must provide your own equestrian helmet. Children 17 and under are required by law to wear a helmet while riding a horse. Closes toed boots with a low heel are required. Please no steel-toed boots, soft-shell or rain boots; these are a safety hazard.

2. If the student(s) arrive fifteen (15) minutes or later to the start of class, student(s) will not be able to ride that day and are not eligible for refund or makeup. Liberty Equestrian Center allocates the first twenty minutes for grooming, tacking and equine equipment education: late arrival will hold up the rest of the group.

Please note: As with our other lesson programs, if you cannot make it to a lesson there will NOT be make ups available. Also, on occasion – we do need to cancel a lesson due to weather i.e. snow storms or tornado warnings.  If we have more than one cancellation, we will schedule a make-up lesson!

** Each class must have at least 4 students enrolled in order for us to hold the class – however, this has not been a problem in the past, as our classes tend to fill up fast. Those enrolled in a class that does not make will be give the opportunity to transfer into another time slot/session.

Discount: Liberty Equestrian Center offers a $50 discount on Horsemanship Clinics for riders that will be using their own horse or a horse they currently have a yearly lease on.
